CHICAGO – Junior guard Brad Karp (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) led all scorers with 20 points and seniors Dominique Harvey (Chicago, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) and Anthony Grant (Calumet City, Ill./Prairie State CC/Thornridge) each chipped in 12 points as the No. 7 ranked Saint Xavier University men's basketball team won its 14th straight game with a dominant 95-47 win over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Purdue University-North Central (Ind.) on "Senior Night" Wednesday at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  The Cougars (25-4 overall/21-2 CCAC) own the longest win streak for the program since the 2002-03 squad won 15 straight from December 5, 2002, to January 29, 2003.  Harvey also led SXU on the boards in the game finishing with a game-high 11 rebounds.

Freshman guard Shane Zackery (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) provided the Cougars with a nice lift off the bench scoring 12 points on perfect 4-for-4 shooting from the field, including a pair of three-pointers.  Twelve of the 13 Saint Xavier players who saw action in Wednesday's game scored at least a point.  SXU was lights out in the second half hitting 59 percent (23-for-39) of its shot attempts from the field.  The Cougars also pulled down 53 rebounds in the game and tallied 10 steals, which helped lead to 22 PUNC turnovers.  SXU jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the game's first eight minutes and never trailed en route to the 48-point victory.

Saint Xavier (25-4 overall/21-2 CCAC) concludes its regular season on Saturday, February 16, with a conference road game against Holy Cross College (Ind.).  The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. (eastern) tip-off in South Bend, Ind.
