Elgin, Ill. – Netting her 15th double-double of the season, sophomore guard/forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) was tough to stop in a 69-37 road win for No. 8 ranked Saint Xavier University over Judson University (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) women's basketball action Wednesday evening at the Lindner Fitness Center in Elgin, Ill.  Stuut had a solid all-around outing posting 15 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks in the game.  Sophomore guard Suzie Broski (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) also had a nice performance for SXU with 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the floor.  The Cougars (21-3 overall/15-3 CCAC) complete the month of January with an unblemished record (9-0) and are in the midst of a 14-game win streak that started back on December 18, 2012.

Junior forward Chrissy Heine (Hampshire, Ill./Hampshire) also scored in double figures for Saint Xavier Wednesday with 12 points to go along with her six rebounds on the evening.  Sophomore forward Margaret Wildner (Oak Lawn, Ill./Mother McAuley) provided the Cougars with a nice lift off the bench recording eight points and four rebounds.  Judson had two players reach double figures in scoring Wednesday with senior forward Daisy Jara and freshman forward Diamond Williams each posting 10 points.  SXU was tough on the boards and defensively throughout the night.  The Cougars racked up 52 rebounds compared to just 38 by the Eagles and also tallied 11 steals to help lead to 20 turnovers by the hosts.

It was a slow start for Saint Xavier scoring only six points in the game's first six minutes and trailing by one, 7-6, before a three-pointer by junior guard Jordan Brandt (Winamac, Ind./Winamac) sparked a 13-4 run that gave SXU a 19-11 lead with just under 10 minutes to play in the first half.  The Cougars continued to wear down the Eagles for the rest of the frame and took a 30-18 lead into the halftime break.  Saint Xavier dominated the second half extending its lead quickly and owned at least a 20-point advantage for most of the frame.  The Cougar defense limited the Eagles to just 21 percent shooting (5-for-24) after the break.  Judson shot just 25 percent from the floor (13-for-53) in the game.

Saint Xavier (21-3 overall/15-3 CCAC) continues conference play on Saturday, February 2, with a home game against Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.).  The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
