CHICAGO – Dale Judickas, a junior transfer from South Suburban Community College in South Holland, Ill., recently signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. The Hickory Hills, Ill., native played two seasons for head coach Jose Gonzalez with the Bulldogs. Judickas, a defender and midfielder, played prep soccer at nearby Stagg High School in Palos Hills under head coach Mike Kealy.
Judickas is the son of Grant and Rosemarie of Hickory Hills. He is looking to pursue a degree in biology (pre-health) next year at Saint Xavier University. In 2011, Judickas helped South Suburban finish with a 15-6 overall record and an appearance in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region IV semifinals.
"Dale is a great pick up for us," said Saint Xavier University men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic. "His two years of college experience is a big plus. He is very athletic, versatile and will add depth and give us options at a number of spots on the field. More than that, Dale is a competitor, the type of player who places a high value on the end result and has no problem paying the price to earn it. I have no doubt that he will fit in nicely with the culture that has been created here and push our standards to higher levels."
