"I am extremely pleased with our overall performance," said Saint Xavier University men's track coach Ed McAllister. "Each and every one of our athletes contributed in some manner and many in multiple facets. Stancato was nothing short of fantastic. He continued to excel when lesser athletes would have faded. Pesek is reaching his last year's top form. Johnson threw well with a minimum of practice and our 800 trio (Corcoran, Kenney and Hummer) get better by the week. This has become a true team effort and I am extremely proud of all of our men. We now go on to begin our peaking activities and we will start having national qualifiers this weekend."
The Cougars travel to Hillsdale, Michigan, for the prestigious Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale College this weekend. This meet starts on Thursday, April 26, and continues through Saturday, April 28. The meet will feature many of the top collegiate track programs in the Midwest.
