Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Eighteen hits, including home runs by junior outfielder Luke Gregerson (Lyons, Ill./Morton) and sophomore third baseman Nick Tantillo (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew), helped propel the No. 4 seeded Saint Xavier University baseball team to a commanding 19-4 victory over No. 5 seed St. Ambrose University (Iowa) Friday in second round action of the 2005 NAIA Region VII Baseball Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. With the win, SXU is now the only undefeated team of the five still playing in the tournament. Official stats from the game had not been released by Mt. Mercy College (Iowa), the host school for the Region VII Tournament.

Saint Xavier (36-20 overall) will take on either No. 1 seeded William Penn University (Iowa) or No. 5 seeded St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on Saturday, May 14, at 3 p.m. in the third round of the tournament. If the Cougars wins their 3 p.m. game Saturday, they will advance to the championship game and have to lose twice to not earn the region title.
