The NAIA's "A" qualifying standard time for next May's marathon at Nationals is 1:33.00.
"Ashley's half marathon pace of 6:46 per mile was incredible," said SXU women's track coach Lisa Ebel. "I'm so thrilled that she was able to qualify so early and can now focus on getting ready for the national meet in May. She just wrapped up a great first season on our cross country team the previous weekend and now has already established herself as one of our top runners on the track team as well."
The 2012 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships takes place on May 24-26, at the Indiana Wesleyan University Track Complex in Marion, Ind. The marathon will kick off at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 26.
