Fort Wayne, Ind. – Freshman forward Morgan Graves (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) was nearly unstoppable Friday afternoon at Coonan Field in Fort Wayne, Ind., in helping lead the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team to a 4-1 win over host University of Saint Francis (Ind.).  Graves recorded two goals and an assist, all in second-half action, to bust open a game tied, 1-1, at the half and propelling the Cougars to their fourth straight victory.  She has been on a recent tear scoring all of her team-leading three goals over SXU's last two games.

Saint Xavier got rolling early in the game when sophomore midfielder Molly Sheehan (Orland Park, Ill./Stagg) scored on a free kick that went over the keeper in the game's seventh minute.  At the 21:32 mark of the first half, USF tied the game with a goal by sophomore midfielder Leah Campbell set up by a pass from senior midfielder Angie Carusone.  Just over three minutes into the second half, junior forward Elysha Peele (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) provided the assist on Graves' first goal of the game to give the Cougars a 2-1 lead.  Less than three minutes later, Graves struck again scoring on a penalty kick to extend the advantage to two goals, 3-1.  It would take just one more minute for Sheehan to secure her second goal of the day on a short cross from Graves.  Senior keeper Ashley Shugar (Lake Orion, Mich./Western Illinois University/Lake Orion) earned the win in goal Friday for SXU finishing with seven saves.

Saint Xavier (4-3-0 overall) stays in Fort Wayne, Ind., this evening and will wrap up play at the University of Saint Francis Invitational with a Saturday match-up against Marian University (Ind.).  Tomorrow's game will take place at 12 p.m. (eastern) at Coonan Field.
