CHICAGO - Senior guard Shalonda Young (Chicago, Ill./Crane Tech) finished with a huge double-double performance of 20 points and 18 rebounds to pace the surging No. 17 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team to a 71-41 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) victory over Robert Morris University (Ill.) Saturday evening at the Gentile Center in Chicago. The Cougars (22-6 overall/9-1 CCAC) wrap up their 2010-11 regular season slate with their ninth straight win and 13th in their last 14 games. SXU never trailed in Saturday's contest jumping out to an early 8-0 lead and using a 28-0 scoring run that began midway through the first half to pull away for good.

Other top performers for the Cougars included: senior point guard Alex Barone (Joliet, Ill./Marian Catholic) with 13 points and five assists, junior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe) with 13 points and five rebounds and junior forward Brittany Jones (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) with 12 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
