Kansas City, Mo. - Riding a four-game win streak and undefeated in the month of January, the Saint Xavier University women's basketball team was rewarded with a one-spot jump in the latest NAIA Women's Division I Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Cougars (13-5 overall) moved up to No. 10 when the fifth edition of the poll was released by the national office Monday evening. SXU will have little time to enjoy its new rank with match-ups against two of the hottest teams in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) scheduled for this week in Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) and Indiana University-South Bend.

"It is a nice feeling being back among the top 10 teams in the NAIA, but we also know that we have a couple of tough tests in the conference this week," said Saint Xavier University women's basketball coach Bob Hallberg. "Olivet Nazarene (Tuesday's opponent) is riding an eight-game win streak and ranked No. 21 in the NAIA, while Indiana University-South Bend (Saturday's opponent) has won 13 straight. If we want to stay among the nation's best teams, we will have to be at the top of our game this week."

Saint Xavier (13-5 overall/1-0 CCAC) heads to Bourbonnais, Ill., this evening for the big NAIA and CCAC showdown against No. 21 Olivet Nazarene University. The game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start.
