CHICAGO - Erin Houlihan, a senior third baseman/outfielder at Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to continue both her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar softball program. The Tinley Park, Ill., native will be a freshman at SXU in the fall of 2011. She will compete for playing time on the field for the Cougars during the 2012 season.
 

Houlihan is the daughter of Kevin and Joanne Houlihan of Tinley Park. She is currently coached by Aimee Lonigro at Lincoln-Way North High School. Houlihan is looking to pursue a degree in psychology starting next year at Saint Xavier University.

"Erin is very versatile with the ability to play third base, second base and in the outfield," said Saint Xavier University softball coach Myra Minuskin."We are excited to have another talented Houlihan in the program as she joins her sister, Katie."
