Joliet, Ill. -When the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) released its honors in conjunction with the tournament championship over the weekend, the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team got some good news with four of its players earning spots on the 2010 All-CCAC Women's Soccer Team. Junior midfielder Nancy Schueth (Lincoln, Neb./Saint Pius X) and sophomore midfielder/defender Tammy Contorno (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) both earned first team honors for the Cougars, while senior defender Nikki Gendron (Rockford, Ill./Boylan) and senior forward Kelly Steinhaus (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) each garnered a place on the second team.

Schueth led the Cougars offensively this season with 25 points on nine goals and seven assists playing in all 19 games. Contorno was a solid force as well this season for Saint Xavier posting a goal and three assists over 18 starts. Gendron started all 19 games and was one of the team's best defenders posting one assist on the year. Steinhaus was tough as well offensively recording 20 points on nine goals and two assists over 18 games.

Saint Xavier (11-6-2 overall/7-2-1 CCAC) finished fourth in the CCAC final standings with a 7-2-1 mark and wrapped up its 2010 season with an 11-6-2 overall record. The Cougars finished their CCAC first-round game with Trinity International University (Ill.) in a 2-2 tie, but failed to advance to the semifinals after losing the resulting penalty kick shootout.
