Whiting, Ind. - Behind a career-high 26 points by junior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe), the No. 6 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team held off a late rally by Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) and pulled out a 78-71 road victory Tuesday evening at the Crimson Wave Athletic Facility in Whiting, Ind. After a tight second half, the Cougars got key baskets from junior forward Mary Kusner (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and freshman forward Chrissy Heine (Hampshire, Ill./Hampshire) in the final two minutes to pull away for good. Young also finished with five rebounds and four steals in Tuesday's win.
