CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University senior forward Ryan Clemens (Midlothian, Ill./Trinity Christian/Moraine Valley/Lincoln-Way East) earned the final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season Tuesday for his impressive play on the field last week. Clemens scored both goals in a 2-1 overtime victory over rival University of St. Francis (Ill.) in first-round action of the 2010 CCAC Men's Soccer Tournament this past Saturday.

Clemens scored the game's first goal in the 75th minute on a header set up by a cross from junior midfielder Adrian Guzman (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle). The game-winning score came just 1:11 into the extra period when Clemens headed the ball again into the back of the net off an assist from senior midfielder Ben Johnson (Woodridge, Ill./Western Illinois University/Naperville North). Although not scoring in the game, Clemens also played well in a 4-3 upset win over No. 23 Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) earlier last week. He is currently second on the team in goals scored (6).

Saint Xavier (13-5-1 overall/8-1-1 CCAC) continues postseason play on Wednesday, November 10, hosting a semifinals match-up against No. 3 seed Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.). The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.
