CHICAGO - An own goal by No. 22 ranked Trinity Christian College (Ill.) nearly worked to the advantage of Saint Xavier University Friday evening, but a goal by senior midfielder Trisha Airth tied the game at 1-1 in the 66th minute and that was how things would end in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) women's soccer action at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. It was the regular season finale for both teams. With the tie, SXU finishes the regular season with an 11-6-1 overall mark, while TCC closes out at 14-2-2.

Junior keeper Ashley Shugar (Lake Orion, Mich./Western Illinois University/Lake Orion) led the Cougars with seven saves on the night. Sophomore forward Elysha Peele (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) finished with three shots-on-goal to lead the SXU offensive attack.

Saint Xavier (11-6-1 overall/7-2-1 CCAC) finishes fourth in the final CCAC standings and awaits the results of tomorrow's conference games to determine which team it will play in the first round of the CCAC Tournament. First round action will begin on Friday, November 5, with pairings and game times to be announced.
