Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. The Cougars (9-4-0 overall) also came away with another victory Saturday hosting their annual "Cougs Kick Cancer" event, which helps raise money for breast cancer awareness through raffles, donations and auctioned items. SXU scored two goals in the first half and then exploded for five additional goals after the halftime break.

Senior forward Kelly Steinhaus (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) got the Cougars on the scoreboard first with a goal off a deflected shot in the 19th minute. The next score came in the 42nd minute when freshman forward Anita Balciunas (Brookfield, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) broke free for a goal from 10 yards out on an assist by senior midfielder Katie DuPree (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South). In the 57th minute, junior midfielder Joanna Janulis (Bolingbrook, Ill./Benet Academy) scored an unassisted goal to put SXU ahead, 3-0.

Peele scored her first goal of the game on a break-away set up by junior midfielder Nancy Schueth (Lincoln, Neb./Saint Pius X) just a minute later. Peele then added her second score four minutes later on an unassisted play. In the 64th minute, Peele found sophomore defender Amanda Wessel (Metamora, Ill./Illinois Central College/Metamora) open with a cross for another goal. Freshman defender Kristina Lukasik (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) would wrap up the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 68th minute. SXU had 42 shots in the game, including 24 shots-on-goal.
