LOS ANGELES - Former Saint Xavier University standout Luke Gregerson (Park Ridge, Ill./Morton) set Major League Baseball's single-season holds mark late Wednesday night with his 37th hold in a 3-1 win for the San Diego Padres over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.  Gregerson had shared the mark at 36 with Scott Linebrink (2006 Padres) and Tom Gordon (2004 Yankees).  With nine games remaining for the Padres in the 2010 season, Gregerson has a chance to add to his record-breaking total.  The Padres are in a tight race for first place in the National League West sitting just a half game behind the San Francisco Giants.
