Joliet, Ill. -Picking up her second award in as many weeks as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Runner of the Week, Saint Xavier University junior Rachael Dean (Lindenhurst, Ill./Judson University/Lakes) was the top finisher at last Friday's Midwest Classic Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill. As a team, the Cougars scored 76 points to capture second place in the 12-team event. Dean also won the award last week with a second-place individual finish at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC) Opener.

Finishing 11 seconds ahead of the race's second-place runner, Dean completed the 5K (5,000 meters) course at Aspen Ridge Golf Course in a time of 18:48. She averaged just over a six-minute mile pace and was first in the 120-runner field.   

Saint Xavier heads to Normal, Ill., this Friday to take part in the Illinois Intercollegiate Meet hosted by Illinois State University. The meet begins at 5 p.m. at the Weibring Golf Course in Normal.
