Grand Island, Neb. - Saint Xavier University senior quarterback Anthony Kropp
(Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) was one of just six NAIA football players nationwide to be named to College Fanz Sports Network's NAIA Super Six when the names were recently announced in conjunction with the release of its 2010 NAIA Football Preview magazine. Last season, Kropp completed 62 percent of his passes (326-for-527) for 4,425 yards and 43 touchdowns. He also rushed for 107 yards and six touchdowns in helping lead the Cougars to a 13-1 record before losing to eventual national champion University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) in the semifinals. Kropp was a 2009 first-team All-Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-East League selection and College Fan Sports Network Honorable Mention All-American for his impressive play. Saint Xavier kicks off its 2010 season with a Thursday night road game (Aug. 26) against non-conference foe Bethel University (Tenn.) at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie, Tenn. The home opener is set for Thursday, September 2, at 7 p.m. with the Cougars taking on former MSFA Midwest League rival University of St. Francis (Ill.) at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.
