CHICAGO - Kristina Lukasik
, a freshman defender/outside midfielder from Tinley Park, Ill., has decided to attend Saint Xavier University to continue both her athletic and academic career as a member of the Cougar women's soccer program. Lukasik recently wrapped up her prep soccer career at Andrew High School in Tinley Park. She was coached by Loren Zolk at Andrew High School.
Lukasik is the daughter of Sylvia Lukasik of Tinley Park. She is planning to pursue a degree in business at Saint Xavier University. SXU women's soccer coach Jeremy Ekeler
believes that Lukasik has the experience and potential to raise the program's level of play.
"Kristina has a great soccer background having played for one of the best club programs (Eclipse) and high schools in the area," said Ekeler. "We like her combination of size, speed and toughness, because it fits well with our style of play. Furthermore, we look for Kristina to come in right away and compete for playing time because she has the potential to raise our level of play and intensity."
