CHICAGO - Jordan Hamrick, a freshman goalkeeper from Lafayette, Ind., recently signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. Hamrick was coached by Tim Hollendonner at Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Ind. He will begin his college career as a freshman in the fall of 2010.

Hamrick is the son of Charles and Coleen Hamrick. He plans to pursue a degree in biology starting next fall at Saint Xavier University. Jordan's brother, Devin, is a junior offensive lineman on the Cougar Football team.

"I feel very good about Jordan's decision to become a part of our program," said SXU men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic. "He is an extremely athletic and intense competitor, who will, at the very least, add depth to our goalkeeping position. I anticipate Jordan taking full advantage of every opportunity he gets to earn playing time and a starting position."
