CHICAGO - Jordan Hamrick, a freshman goalkeeper from Lafayette, Ind., recently signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. Hamrick was coached by Tim Hollendonner at Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Ind. He will begin his college career as a freshman in the fall of 2010.
Hamrick is the son of Charles and Coleen Hamrick. He plans to pursue a degree in biology starting next fall at Saint Xavier University. Jordan's brother, Devin, is a junior offensive lineman on the Cougar Football team.
"I feel very good about Jordan's decision to become a part of our program," said SXU men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic
. "He is an extremely athletic and intense competitor, who will, at the very least, add depth to our goalkeeping position. I anticipate Jordan taking full advantage of every opportunity he gets to earn playing time and a starting position."
