CHICAGO - Senior left fielder Tony Testin (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) posted two hits, including a game-tying, two-run homer in the sixth inning, to help lead top-seeded Saint Xavier University to a 6-4 victory over No. 3 seed Judson University (Ill.) Wednesday afternoon in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Baseball Tournament at Richard R. Ferrell Memorial Field in Chicago. The game was postponed nearly two-and-a-half hours due to heavy rains and finished up around 4:30 p.m. after starting at 11 a.m. Senior first baseman Ken Tezak (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) got the big go-ahead hit in the bottom of the eighth when he belted a two-RBI double to the gap in right-centerfield to put SXU ahead for good, 6-4.

Senior left-hander Jayson Koehn (Beecher, Ill./Beecher) got the win in relief of freshman starter Mike Stirling (Thornton, Ill./Mount Carmel). Koehn threw the final four innings for Saint Xavier and allowed just two hits, no runs and a walk with three strikeouts. He improves to 10-4 on the year with the victory. Stirling pitched the game's first five frames and gave up just four hits, four runs (all earned) and two walks with a pair of strikeouts. The Eagles were led offensively by senior left fielder Zach Williams, who finished with two hits in the game, and junior catcher Andy Parsill, who had a double and three RBI. Testin finished Wednesday's game 2-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI for the Cougars, while junior third baseman Matt Erickson (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) and senior right fielder Zach Clements (Berwyn, Ill./Morton) each posted three hits. Saint Xavier (37-15-1 overall/23-7 CCAC) started the CCAC Tournament championship game with No. 4 seed Robert Morris University (Ill.) at 5 p.m. Wednesday, but the game was called due to darkness prior to the start of eighth inning with RMU leading 5-3. Play will resume in the eighth inning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, at Ferrell Field. A second game, if necessary, will take place immediately following.
