Palos Heights, Ill. -- Freshman forward Lissa Coby (Lake Villa, Ill./Grant Community) provided the lone goal for the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team, but it was not enough to end the Cougars' five-game winless streak dropping a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) game to Trinity Christian College, 2-1, in overtime Tuesday in Palos Heights, Ill. After starting the season a perfect 7-0, SXU currently sits at 8-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the conference.

Trinity got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 31st minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Coby tied the game, 1-1, just five minutes into the second half off an assist from freshman forward Tiffany DeRiggi (Lemont, Ill./Lemont). However, TCC got thegame-winning goal in the sixth minute of thefirst overtime period to earn the victory. Sophomore goalkeeper Jessi Brink (Omaha, Neb./Burke) recorded five saves in goal for the Cougars.

SXU will host St. Ambrose University (Iowa) in a non-conference game, on Friday, October 8, at 3 p.m. at SXU stadium.
