CHICAGO - Jessica DePinto, a senior defensemen from Lockport, Ill., recently signed a letter of intent to continue both her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar women's soccer program. DePinto is currently coached by Kristin Keigley at Lockport Township High School in Lockport, Ill. She will be a freshman at SXU and compete for playing time on the field as a middle back or midfielder starting this fall.
DePinto is the daughter of Michael and Patricia DePinto of Lockport. She is planning to pursue a degree in criminal justice starting this fall at Saint Xavier University. SXU women's soccer coach Jeremy Ekeler is thrilled about the addition of DePinto.
"Jessica is an area player, who is capable of playing any position on the field," said Ekeler. "She is as competitive as they come and is not afraid to mix it up on the field. We will give her the opportunity to create her own path in our program. We expect Jessica to have a strong impact on the field as a Cougar and continue her strong work in the classroom."
