South Bend, Ind. - Behind a double-double performance of 16 points and 11 rebounds by sophomore forward Dominique Harvey (Hazelcrest, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor), the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team picked up an 80-70 win over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Indiana University-South Bend (IUSB) Saturday at the IUSB Student Activities Center in South Bend, Ind. The Cougars (19-8 overall/7-2 CCAC) led nearly the entire game after jumping out to a 17-8 lead in the game's first six minutes. SXU shot an impressive 56 percent (18-for-32) from the field in first-half action to build a 43-38 halftime lead.

Senior guard Larry Pikes (Richton Park, Ill./Alaska-Anchorage/Blackhawk East/Rich South) and junior guard Marco Samimy (Peterson Woods, Ill./CICS-Northtown Academy) each finished with 14 points for the Cougars, while junior guard Stan Mayfield (Snellville, Ga./McKendree University/Shiloh) also scored in double figures with 10 points. Pikes also tallied seven rebounds and five assists toward the winning effort.

Saint Xavier (19-8 overall/7-2 CCAC) wraps up its CCAC schedule with a home game against Robert Morris University (Ill.) on Wednesday, February 24. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
