(Lemont, Ill./Lemont) completed the 1600-meter fourth leg to help the Saint Xavier University women's indoor track team qualify its distance-medley relay (DMR) team for the 2010 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 12:48.40 over the weekend at the Tadd Matzger Invitational hosted by Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. The DMR team also consisted of senior Amanda Janosz
(Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) and juniors Dana Eppley
(Palos Heights, Ill./Shepard) and Kelly Malone
(Oak Lawn, Ill./Mother McAuley). The 2010 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships begin on March 4 in Johnson City, Tenn.
Last season, SXU also had its DMR team qualify for the national meet going on to finish 21st overall at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships with a time of 12:53.01. It is the team's first set of qualifiers for the 2010 season.
Saint Xavier heads to Bloomington, Ill., this weekend to take part in the Titan Invitational hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University (Ill.). The meet begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6.
