CHICAGO - The No. 10 seeded Saint Xavier University baseball team will match up against No. 7 seed Bellevue University (Neb.) in the opening game of the 50th Annual Avista NAIA World Series Friday at Harris Field on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. The game is scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start (central) on Friday morning. This is SXU's first trip to the NAIA World Series since 1988 when the Cougars finished third nationally.

Saint Xavier brings a 33-25 overall record into Friday's game, while Bellevue comes into the match-up with a 40-17 mark. The two teams met earlier this season in Florida on March 16 in a doubleheader. SXU won game one, 14-4, with Bellevue taking the nightcap, 5-3.
Saint Xavier University baseball will be staying at the Red Lion Hotel in Lewiston, Idaho, during the World Series.
