CHICAGO - Just hours after defeating No. 6 Lambuth University (Tenn.) by a score of 52-10 at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago, No. 4 Saint Xavier University learned it will make the trip to Sioux Falls, S.D., next week to take on No. 1 ranked and defending national champion University of Sioux Falls (S.D.). Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. (central) on Saturday, December 5, at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls. It will be the Cougars' second appearance all-time in the semifinals after earning a spot during the 2006 season.

"We are excited about the opportunity to match up against the No. 1 team in the NAIA," said SXU football coach Mike Feminis. "If you are going to be the best, then you have to beat the best and the No. 1 team at our level right now is the national champs, Sioux Falls. Our guys need no further motivation right now and they know that the road to the national championship goes through Sioux Falls, South Dakota."

On Saturday, Sioux Falls (13-0 overall) recorded nearly 500 yards of total offense, including 292 on the ground in taking down No. 7 Morningside College (Iowa). The win extended the Cougars' winning streak to 27 straight games, which is tied for college football's longest among any division (NAIA or NCAA). In addition, Sioux Falls now has won 41-straight home games. Sioux Falls will enter its fifth straight NAIA Football Championship Series semifinals game on December 5 and has won three of the last four national titles.
