CHICAGO - As if the prospect of its first Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League title, its first perfect regular season (11-0) and the potential for a top seed in the 2009 NAIA Championship Series was not enough, the No. 6 ranked Saint Xavier University football team has at least two more motivating factors for a victory Saturday over No. 8 University of Saint Francis (Ind.) at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium in Fort Wayne, Ind. The first is a chance to beat an opponent they have never defeated in six previous attempts and the second is the opportunity to end USF's 56-game home win streak that dates back to November 3, 2001. Kickoff for the big game is scheduled for 11 a.m. (central) Saturday.

"I don't think we will have to say much before the game to get our team motivated, because Saint Francis has certainly had our number over the years," said Saint Xavier University football coach Mike Feminis. "But I really believe our guys are up to the challenge. We shocked the country a couple of years ago when we ended Carroll College's (Mont.) streak of a fifth straight national championship and I know we're capable of doing it again. It should be one heck of a game."

Tomorrow's game also marks the regular season finale for SXU with its bye week scheduled for November 14. The 2009 NAIA Football Championship Series seeds and first-round pairings are scheduled to be announced on Sunday, November 15. College Fanz Sports Network will air the announcement of the 16-team field live via video stream on its website ( starting at 1:30 p.m. central time next Sunday.
