CHICAGO -- Meaghan Secor, a senior defender at Lincoln-Way Central High School in New Lenox, Ill., will continue both her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University in Chicago as a member of the Cougar women's soccer program in 2005. Secor is the daughter of Barry and Margaret Secor of New Lenox, and was coached by Dan Radz while playing for the Knights.

Secor is expected to play at the defender position next season at Saint Xavier University. She plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice. She is the third girl's soccer defender from Lincoln-Way Central High School to sign with SXU over the last two years with the additions of former Knights Caitlin Thornburg and Cassie Rumpf prior to the 2004 season.

"Meaghan is another great addition to our program from Lincoln-Way Central," said Saint Xavier University head women's soccer coach Derek Begich. "She is going to add depth to our defense and continues to improve every year."
