Findlay, Ohio - Saint Xavier University junior quarterback Anthony Kropp (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League Offensive Player of the Week when the league released the honor early Monday. Kropp was instrumental in a big 51-0 homecoming victory for the Cougars over visiting Quincy University (Ill.) Saturday evening in a MSFA crossover match-up at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.

Kropp completed 22 of his 30 pass attempts for 470 yards on the night and also tallied seven passing touchdowns to set a new SXU single-game record. In addition, he finished with a passer efficiency rating of 281.93, setting another school single-game mark. One of the most amazing aspects of the record-setting performance was that all of Kropp's stats occurred in the first half as the Cougars held a 48-0 lead at halftime. Former SXU quarterbacks Jeremy Zientek and Aaron McGuire held the previous individual single-game passing touchdowns record at SXU with five apiece. The Cougars also notched a team record for passing touchdowns in a game Saturday surpassing the previous mark of six against Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) back on September 20, 2008.

Saint Xavier (5-0 overall/2-0 MSFA) heads to Upland, Ind., on Saturday, October 3, to take on MSFA Mideast League foe Taylor University (Ind.). Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. central time.
