CHICAGO - Behind a game-high 20 points by junior point guard Julian Scott (Country Club Hills, Ill./Hillcrest), the Saint Xavier University men's basketball team rolled to a 109-75 victory over East-West University (Ill.) Saturday afternoon at the Shannon Center in Chicago. The Cougars (4-4 overall) never trailed after opening a 17-4 advantage over the first four minutes of the game.

In addition to Scott, senior forward Scott Campbell (Detroit, Mich./Waubonsee CC/MacKenzie) also scored in double figures for SXU shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the field for 17 points. Senior forward Rob Broughton (Elizabethtown, Ky./Gannon University) finished with 12 points, while junior guard Ken Black (Blue Island, Ill./Chicago Christian) chipped in 10 points off the bench. The Cougars shot an impressive 56 percent (44-for-79) from the field in the game.

Saint Xavier (4-4 overall) continues its season on Wednesday, December 3, hosting Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.) in a non-conference match-up. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
