CHICAGO - Jhonatan Fuentes, a senior midfielder at Kelly High School in Chicago, has recently signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. Fuentes, a Chicago native, was coached by Raul Magdeleno during his impressive prep career with the Trojans.

Fuentes is the son of Sergio and Ana Fuentes of Chicago. He plans to pursue a degree in business at Saint Xavier University. SXU men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic feels Fuentes will add another strong piece to an already capable midfield.

"Jhonatan is a strong, crafty player who takes care of the ball and has the ability to be a threat going forward along," said Vucinic. "I'm very excited about the possibilities and options we will have in the center of the field next season. I'm also really excited that Jhonatan will be wearing a Cougar jersey this fall."
