Decatur, Ala. - Due to inclement weather conditions in Decatur, Ala., the No. 24 ranked Saint Xavier University softball team's final pool play game in the 2009 NAIA Softball National Championship against unranked Savannah College of Art & Design (Ga.) originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday has been postponed until Sunday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wilson Morgan Softball Complex. Unfortunately for the Cougars, No. 7 ranked Saint Gregory's University won its earlier game Saturday against No. 11 University of Houston-Victoria (Texas), 1-0, and won all three of its games in the four-team pool, which means that SXU will not be able to advance past pool play due to its 2-1 loss to Saint Gregory's Friday.

Saint Xavier (31-19 overall) has a chance to finish second place in its pool with a win Sunday against SCAD. The Cougars upset No. 11 Houston-Victoria, 4-0, on Thursday and played extremely tough in its one-run loss to No. 7 Saint Gregory's.
