Marion, Ind. - Behind three first-half goals, the No. 25 ranked Indiana Wesleyan University women's soccer team picked up a 5-0 win over visiting Saint Xavier University Saturday night in Marion, Ind. The Cougars (2-5-1 overall) managed just two shots-on-goal in the game compared to eight shots-on-goal by the Wildcats. Senior keepers Nikki Grant (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) and Kim Pavel (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) split time in goal for SXU with Grant posting no saves in first-half action and Pavel notching three saves in the second half.

Indiana Wesleyan scored its first three goals of the game within a five-minute span in the first half starting in the game's 18th minute. Five different players contributed to the five goals by the Wildcats Saturday. IWU scored its fourth and fifth goals in the 48th and 61st minutes, respectively.

Saint Xavier (2-5-1 overall) opens its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) schedule on Tuesday, September 23, with a home game against Judson University (Ill.). The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start Tuesday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.
