Men's Cross Country - Tue, Aug. 12, 2008
CHICAGO - Brandon Hummer, a incoming freshman distance runner from Willowbrook, Ill., recently signed a letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's cross country and track programs. Hummer attended Hinsdale South High School in Darien, Ill., where he ran both cross country and track for the Hornets.

Hummer had a successful prep running career at Hinsdale South earning all-conference honors in both cross country and boy's track. He plans to pursue a major in business this fall at Saint Xavier University.

"I've very excited about the opportunity to work with Brandon," said Saint Xavier University men's cross country/track coach Ed McAllister. "If anyone personifies the term ‘sleeper' it is Brandon. Hinsdale South has had a number of great runners and I believe Brandon slipped through somewhat unnoticed. I feel that he will immediately become an integral part of this team's future successes."
