South Bend, Ind. - Sophomore forward Erin Hannemann (Homer Glen, Ill./Providence Catholic) posted team-highs of 17 points, seven rebounds, and five steals as No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University came out of South Bend, Ind., with a 64-55 victory over Indiana University-South Bend (Ind.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) women's basketball action Tuesday night. For the second straight game, the Cougars (19-4 overall/5-0 CCAC) used a big second half performance, outscoring the Titans 38-26 after halftime, to pick up a conference road win.

SXU also got solid performances from freshman point guard Alex Barone (Joliet, Ill./Marian Catholic), who finished with 14 points and four rebounds, and sophomore guard Kathlyn McClain (Oak Forest, Ill./Converse College) with 12 points and five rebounds. The Cougar defense helped force 31 IUSB turnovers in the game with 17 of the miscues coming from Saint Xavier steals. Senior forward Jen Vanderzanden (Dyer, Ind.) led the Titans with 14 points and nine rebounds. SXU trailed 29-26 at the halftime break.

Saint Xavier (19-4 overall/5-0 CCAC) heads to Bourbonnais, Ill., on Saturday, February 9, to take on CCAC foe Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.). ONU is ranked No. 21 nationally and currently right behind the Cougars in the league standing with a 19-4 overall record and 4-1 mark in the CCAC. Game time for Saturday's match-up is 1 p.m.
