CHICAGO - Casey Meehan, a senior forward at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Ill., has recently signed a letter of intent to continue both her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar women's soccer program. Meehan, a native of Frankfort, is currently coached by Brian Papa with the Griffins of Lincoln-Way East.
Meehan is the daughter of Mike and Lori Meehan and plans to study biology/physical therapy next year at SXU. She is projected to compete for playing time as a freshman next fall at Saint Xavier University.
"Casey has played for top-notch high school and club programs during her prep career and is highly recruited for good reason," said SXU assistant women's soccer coach Jeremy Ekeler. "Casey's speed, tenacity, ability to finish and coachability means she has the opportunity to make an immediate impact as a Cougar."
