Joliet, Ill. - Saint Xavier University junior forward Angie Holmes (Shorewood, Ill./Providence Catholic) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week when the league office in Joliet, Ill released the honor Tuesday. Holmes led the Cougars to two big conference wins over Judson College (Ill.) and Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), respectively, last week.

In last Wednesday's 4-0 road victory over Judson, Holmes recorded Saint Xavier's second of four goals in the game. Holmes then recorded a hat trick (three goals) in Saturday's 7-1 home win over IIT in addition to dishing out an assist. The junior co-captain is currently third on the team in scoring with seven goals and four assists for 18 total points.

SXU (9-2-1 overall/4-1 CCAC) stays at home to take on CCAC rival Robert Morris College (Ill.) on Tuesday, October 4, at SXU Stadium. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
