Elgin, Ill. - Led by 21 points and a perfect 5-for-5 shooting performance from beyond the arc by senior guard Angie Brown (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore), the No. 17 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team got back to its winning ways Tuesday night with a big 87-48 non-conference win over Judson College (Ill.) in Elgin, Ill. The Cougars (5-1 overall) took a 20-13 lead in the game's first five minutes and never looked back en route to the 39-point victory.

Junior forward Jackie Heine (Hampshire, Ill./Hannibal-LaGrange) was also instrumental in Tuesday's win finishing with 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists. In addition, senior guard Candis Jackson (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) did a little bit of everything with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Also scoring in double figures for the Cougars was senior guard Dani Engleman (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) with 12 points. SXU shot 57 percent from the field (37-for-65) and had 20 assists in the ballgame.

SXU (5-1 overall) hosts Central College (Iowa) on Friday, December 1, at 3 p.m. at the Shannon Center in Chicago. The Cougars then face off against two-time defending national champion Union University (Tenn.) on Saturday, December 2, in a 1 p.m. home game.
