CHICAGO - On the same day she was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, Saint Xavier University junior forward Angie Holmes (Shorewood, Ill./Providence Catholic) scored the game-winning goal to lift the SXU women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over No. 12 Robert Morris College in conference action Tuesday at SXU Stadium in Chicago. The Cougars have won six straight games and improve to 10-2-1 overall and 5-1 in the CCAC this season.

Holmes was able to break free of the Robert Morris defense in the 79th minute of play to score the unassisted, game-winning goal. Senior goalkeeper Melissa Painter (Elk Grove, Calif./William Penn University) finished with seven saves for SXU, while picking up her seventh shutout of the 2005 season. SXU outshot the Eagles, 20-13, in the game.
