CHICAGO - Behind solid all-around performances by its three seniors, the Saint Xavier University volleyball team cruised to a three-game match win (30-27, 30-15, 30-21) over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rival University of Saint Francis (Ill.) on "Senior and Parent Night" Thursday at the Shannon Center in Chicago. Senior Jessica Buchmeier (Steger, Ill./Bloom Trail) finished with 10 kills and 20 digs, senior Paige Pedigo (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Queen of Peace) had 11 kills, 13 digs as well as three service aces, and senior Danielle Keller (Worth, Ill./Shepard) recorded three digs in Thursday's big conference victory.

Junior setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) set up the offense for the Cougars posting 45 assists. She also played well defensively with 10 digs. With the win, SXU moves into fourth place in the CCAC standings at 6-2 and has a shot at finishing the regular season in third place with a win over conference foe Calumet College (Ind.) on Friday.

Saint Xavier (21-18 overall/6-2 CCAC) stays at home on Friday, November 3, to take on Calumet College in its regular-season finale. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
