Joliet, Ill. - Saint Xavier University senior forward Paul Herbst (Cary, Ill./McHenry Co. CC) and senior defender Chris Bartley (Park Forest, Ill./Moraine Valley CC) both earned first team honors, while freshman midfielder Agustin Herrera (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom) was named to the honorable mention team when the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) released its 2005 Men's Soccer All-Conference Team Wednesday. In addition, Herrera was named the 2005 CCAC Freshman of the Year for his impressive debut season with the Cougars.

Herbst led SXU in both goals scored (12) and total points (29) playing in 15 of Saint Xavier's 18 games this season. Bartley finished second on the team in both goals scored (11) and total points (25). Both Herbst and Bartley finished with five goals against CCAC opponents during the 2005 regular season. In his freshman season with the Cougars, Herrera had an impressive start. He recorded five goals and two assists playing in 17 of SXU's 18 games.

Saint Xavier (9-8-1 overall/5-3 CCAC) awaits an at-large bid to participate in the 2005 NAIA Region VII Men's Soccer Tournament, which begins on Tuesday, November 8.
