CHICAGO - Behind a pair of second-half goals from freshman forward Zach Kekelik (Merrillville, Ind./Crown Point), the Saint Xavier University men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory over Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) opener Wednesday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. With the win, the Cougars improve to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference this season.

Sophomore James Kline (Canton, Ohio/Perry) recorded his third shutout of the season in Wednesday's victory and finished with two saves. Kekelik scored the game's first goal in the 51st minute of play off an assist from junior forward Alex Duncan (Orland Park, Ill./Moraine Valley CC). The second goal came in the 69th minute of regulation off a pass from junior defender Brett Falloon (Orland Park, Ill./Augustana College).

SXU (4-3 overall, 1-0 CCAC) returns to action on Saturday, September 23, with a conference road game against Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.). Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Bourbonnais, Ill.
