CHICAGO - Behind two goals from sophomore midfielder Agustin Herrera (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom), the Saint Xavier University men's soccer team completed a perfect weekend defeating William Penn University (Iowa), 3-0, Sunday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. With the victory, the Cougars extend their current win streak to three games improving to 3-2 overall this season.

Herrera scored SXU's first goal in the game's 30th minute off an assist from freshman defender Seamus Ryan (Alsip, Ill./Mount Carmel). Leading 1-0 at the half, the Saint Xavier offense poured it on late in the second half when senior midfielder Almir Hot (Belgrade, Serbia/Lindenwood University) scored the team's second goal on a penalty kick in the 78th minute of play and Herrera scored the final goal unassisted just one minute later. Sophomore James Kline (Canton, Ohio/Perry) got his second shutout of the season in goal posting three saves. Saint Xavier outshot William Penn, 15-3, in the Sunday's game.

SXU (3-2 overall) continues its season on Wednesday, September 13, with a non-conference match-up against McKendree College (Ill.) at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
