Findlay, Ohio - Saint Xavier University sophomore quarterback Billy Yeo (Matteson, Ill./Western Michigan) was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week when the conference office released the honor Tuesday. It is the third time already this season that Yeo has earned the weekly recognition.
Yeo helped lead No. 15 ranked Saint Xavier University to a commanding 34-9 victory over MSFA Midwest League foe William Penn University (Iowa) last Saturday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. He completed 17 of his 22 pass attempts in the game for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Yeo also rushed five times for 30 yards and had no interceptions on the day.
Saint Xavier (5-2 overall/4-1 MSFA) heads to Quincy, Ill., on Saturday, October 21, to face MSFA Midwest League foe Quincy University (Ill.) at QU Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.Click here to see the MSFA Player of the Week page.
