CHICAGO - Alex Duncan, a junior transfer from Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletics and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. The Orland Park, Ill., native is expected to make an immediate impact at the forward position next fall at SXU.

Duncan was a former all-state selection during his playing career at Sandburg High School in Orland Park and was Moraine Valley's leading scorer during his freshman season in 2004. He was coached by Jack Ferraro as a prep at Sandburg and played under Chuck Bales, while at Moraine Valley CC. Duncan plans to pursue a degree in business administration/finance at Saint Xavier University.

"This is a big signing for our program and I'm obviously very excited that Alex will be joining us this fall," said SXU men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic. "His fierce competitive nature and exceptional abilities in the air make him a dominating presence on the frontline. To say the least, he will be a handful for opposing defenders."
