CHICAGO - Zach Kekelik, a senior midfielder/forward at Crown Point High School in Crown Point, Ind., has signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletics and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. The Merrillville, Ind., native is expected to play in the midfield and at forward as well next fall at SXU.

Kekelik is the son of Nick and Pam Kekelik of Merrillville. He was coached by Ryan Collier during his prep career at Crown Point High School. Saint Xavier University men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic feels Kekelik possesses the necessary traits to make the smooth transition into the college ranks.

"Zach will be a great addition to our roster and I'm excited that he has decided to continue his education and playing career here at Saint Xavier," said Vucinic. "His speed and skill will give our team some great options up front and from the midfield flanks."
